Telugu film industry is perhaps the only regional film industry with the most number of talented comedians! We also have a rich aspiring base of supreme talent but this showbiz world is full of surprises! No one knows who the ‘Man of the Day’ is!
Every actor/actress has their own day for sure. There are many child actors who have dedicated their lives to Cinema and have become Superstars and there are others who ended up nowhere. They are many young talents who became stars overnight and faded away the next day. There is alo this fourth kind who tasted success after spending more than a decade in the film industry. The latest example is Geethanjali director Raaja Kiran (who became a director recently in spite of being in the industry from 1998) and the best example is Ballireddy Prudhvi Raj aka “30yrs Industry” Prudhvi.
He debuted through late EVV’s classic laugh riot Aa Okkati Adakku in 1993 but rose to fame through Krishna Vamsi’s Khadgam in 2002. Even though he featured in films like Ninne Pelladutha et al much before Khadgam, he became a star overnight with his hilarious performance and especially the remarkable “30yrs industry” dialogue. He later got busy with many films but none actually showcased his true caliber. He flashed in many films and Srinu Vaitla’s Dhee, Dookudu have provided some mileage.
After a long while, he has been utilized to his best in Gopichand’s recent outing Loukyam. His Boiling Star Babloo character has indeed turned out to be the key asset of the film. He was at his hilarious best in this character and hopefully he will escalate to the league of ace comedians with this film. And this 'Boiling star Prudhvi' is our Sensational Star of the Week!
