Dil Ruba, directed by Vishwa Karun and starring Kiran Abbavaram and Rukshar Dhillon, attempts to blend romance, heartbreak, and self-discovery. The film's review is out and check it out here.

Story:
The story revolves around Siddharth Reddy, also known as Siddhu (Kiran Abbavaram), who becomes deeply depressed after his breakup with Meghana (Kathy Davison). In an attempt to move on, he leaves his past behind and joins MIT in Mangalore as a mechanic. There, he meets Anjali (Rukshar Dhillon) and falls in love again. However, complications arise in their love story, further complicated by the arrival of Joker (John Vijay). What happens then? Who did Siddhu finally love? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.

Performances:
Kiran Abbavaram sports a stylish look, which is an improvement from his previous films. His performance in certain emotional and action scenes is decent, and he shares some good chemistry with Rukshar Dhillon. Rukshar delivers a commendable performance as a playful, mischievous girl. John Vijay, in a negative role, brings his signature villainous touch. Kathy Davison, who plays Meghana, seems miscast, appearing older than Kiran Abbavaram, which affects the believability of their relationship. Additionally, her performance lacks natural flow, and her dialogue delivery feels disconnected from her lip movements. Her character lacks depth, and her presence doesn't add much to the narrative.

Technical Aspects:
On the technical side, the film's production values are decent, but certain aspects, like VFX, needed improvement. Sam CS's music is passable, with only one or two songs standing out. Vishwas Daniel's cinematography captures the visuals well, but the overall execution fails to elevate the film. Praveen KL's editing could have been sharper, as some sequences feel dragged out. Director Vishwa Karun picks an interesting concept of valuing apologies and gratitude, but his execution falls short.

Review:
The film's biggest flaw is its lack of engagement. It feels more like a YouTube short film than a big-screen experience, with a weak story that struggles to connect with the audience. Many moments feel dull, failing to evoke strong emotions or excitement. While the movie includes action scenes and songs, they don't add much to the overall impact. The film also suffers from logical inconsistencies, making it difficult for audiences to stay invested. A few twists in the second half add some intrigue, and comedian Satya manages to bring some lighthearted moments in a few scenes. However, despite a few decent performances and moments, the film struggles to leave a lasting impact.

Plus Points:
Performances
Few Dialogues

Minus Points:
Preachy Plot
Inconsistent Screenplay

Final Verdict: Dilruba is an Inconsistent Romantic Drama Offering Nothing..
