Story:
Lankala Ratnam (Vishwak Sen) lives in the village of Kovvuru and dreams of success. Ratnam initially aligns with MLA Dorasami Raju?s (Goparaju Ramana) faction, only to later switch loyalties to Nanaji?s (Nasser) group, eventually becoming an MLA himself. His rise to power is fraught with challenges and enemies, transforming him into the formidable Tiger Ratnakar. The film unravels how Ratnakar navigates these obstacles, as well as his relationship with Bujji (Neha Shetty).

Performances:
Vishwak Sen delivers a captivating performance as Lankala Ratnakar, mastering the Godavari accent and effectively portraying the character's transformation. Anjali gives an intense performance, while Neha Shetty impresses in a role that showcases her versatility. The action sequences in the first half are well-executed, complemented by Yuvan Shankar Raja?s dynamic score. Supporting actors Goparaju Ramana, Nassar, and Hyper Aadi contribute significantly to their roles.

Technical Aspects:
Krishna Chaitanya?s direction is commendable overall, but the second half would have benefited from tighter pacing and a more engaging narrative. Yuvan Shankar Raja?s score is a standout element, significantly enhancing the film's mood and intensity. Anith Madhadi?s cinematography and Navin Nooli?s editing contribute to the film?s visual appeal, particularly in the first half. However, the editing lacks consistency. The production values are grand.

The film's second half fails to maintain the momentum and excitement established in the first half. While Krishna Chaitanya's direction is competent, the screenplay lacks the necessary drive to sustain interest. Neha Shetty?s character could have been more developed, and Anjali?s role deserved more screen time. Although potentially impactful, certain scenes are executed in a mundane manner, missing opportunities to maximize their emotional resonance. "Gangs of Godavari" is a mixed bag?a rural action drama that showcases the talent of Vishwak Sen. On the whole, the film disappoints.
