Allu Sirish, who is in the need of a hit, has now come up with his new film Urvashivo Rakshasivo. This film is directed by Rakesh Sashi and features Anu Emmanuel as the female lead. Here is the review of it. Check it out.
Story:
Sree (Allu Sirish) comes from a middle-class family. Sindhu (Anu Emmanuel) is a modern girl who comes from the contrasting world of Sree. Both of them work in the same IT company. Eventually, they have a fling. Sree wants to take it to the next level and proposes to Sindhu. But she isn't interested in love or marriage. What happens next in their lives forms the main crux of the film.
Performances:
Sirish is suited well to the character of a middle-class guy who works as a software engineer. He was good in comedy sequences. But he needs to improve a lot in the emotional scenes.
Anu Emmanuel is the perfect fit for this role. She is modern and looks like a millennial girl. She did her part well. Sunil and Vennela Kishore provide good laughs. Kedar Shankar and Aamani are decent. Rest others performed within their limitations.
Technical Aspects:
We have seen this rich girl and middle-class boy's love stories countless times in Telugu cinema. It is a tried and tested formula. But director Rakesh Sashi makes it fun to watch with his fresh scenes and good comedy writing.
Music by Anup Rubens and Achu Rajamani is good but not exceptional. The cinematography by Tanvir Mir brings a nice urban feel to the movie. The production values are great. The editing is crisp.
Review:
In these kinds of predictable love stories, the writers and directors need to weave their magic with screenplay and narration. Urvashivo Rakshasivo succeeds in that parts. The first half is filled with comical elements and romance scenes. The romance is intense and will appeal to the target audience for sure. The interval bang is predictable but okayish. The second half deals with how the hero and heroine's ideas of relationship clash and how they manage to solve their issues. Towards the climax, the film takes an emotional turn. The mother sentiment is not that great but serves the purpose. On the whole, the film has all elements that a romantic comedy should possess. It will be a good watch for people below 30 years of age.
Plus Points:
Comedy
First Half
Romance between the leads
Minus Points:
Emotional scenes lack depth
Predictable story
One-Line Verdict: Intense Romance and Impressive Comedy!
