Performances:
Nikhil has been betting high on the success of the film. He is very confident about the performance he put in it. As expected, he has given his best for the movie. He played his part well and showed a lot of maturity through his performance in the film. His fans will surely enjoy the film.
Anupama Parameswaran did not have a bigger scope to perform in this role but she just justifies the heroine's character by being with the hero. She looks good and made her presence felt.
Aditya Menon, Srinivas Reddy, Viva Harsha, and others are good in their characters. Anupam Kher makes his debut in Telugu and it is impressive. He is a good choice for the role. Performances-wise, everyone has given their best for the film.
Technical Aspects:
The music and the camera work are the major assets of the film. Karthik Ghattamaneni is the film's cinematographer and he has come up with brilliant visuals for the film.
Kaala Bhairava is the music director. The songs are not so great but the background score elevated the film perfectly. The production design of the film is excellent. The conversations are good. The editing is neat. The production values are grand. The VFX work is impressive as well.
Review:
Karthikeya is completely different from Karthikeya 2. There is no connection between the two stories. The film's narration is engaging. The mythological drama added beauty to the film. The director cooked an interesting plot and weaved an engaging screenplay around it by lacing interesting threads with interesting characters. The first half of the film is decent but the second half picks up the pace. Post intermission, the film runs well and offers good entertainment to the audiences. There are a few points that are unconvincing but in the end, the climax is dealt with well. Compared to the first part of the film, the second part is highly engaging and entertaining.
Plus Points:
Plot
Visuals
BGM
Screenplay
Minus Points:
Few illogical scenes
Final verdict: Karthikeya 2 is an engaging mythological thriller
