Talented actor Rana Daggubati who recently tasted success with Pawan Kalyan starrer 'Bheemla Nayak', came up with a romantic action drama 'Virata Parvam,' which runs with a Naxal backdrop. The movie went on to the sets a long time ago and finally made it to the theatres today on 17th June 2022. Sai Pallavi played the female lead in the movie directed by Venu Udugula.

According to the buzz, Venu has penned the story from some real-life events he witnessed during his childhood in Warangal. The teaser and trailer have already created a decent buzz around the movie, which also features actors like Priyamani, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra, Sai Chand, etc., in other crucial rules. Let's check out the review of the film.

Story:
The story starts in 1973 in Telangana, rural Andhra Pradesh. A girl named Vennela (Sai Pallavi) was born amid the firing between police and Naxals. However, Vennela grew up in a happy and loving environment. Vennela has always been a stubborn girl who falls in love with the writings of a Naxal and poet Ravanna (Rana), which changes her life upside down. Vennela wants to marry him and tries to reach him. Did she find him? Can love blossom between guns and explosions? What happened, in the end, forms the rest of the story.

Performances:
Sai Pallavi is undoubtedly the backbone of the film. Her outstanding performance is one of the major driving factors behind the film. The actress is the glue that holds the film together even in some dull movements. She went under the skin of the character and has delivered her career-best performance in this film.

Rana also delivered a decent performance and pulled off his role with ease. Priyamani also got an interesting role in the film, and she has delivered her best performance in the film. Naveen Chandra is good in his role.

Sai Chand also delivered an energetic performance. Eshwari and Nandita Das are also good in their roles. Nivetha Pethuraj got a small cameo role which might not create an impact but is just fine. The rest of the actors also made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:
Venu Udugula did a wonderful job in creating a love story with a Naxal backdrop. He has penned a beautiful and strong role for Sai Pallavi, and the entire film runs around her. Venu Udugula has also succeeded in keeping the audience at the edge of their seats in some scenes. His narrative is also quite good.

Though his narration felt somewhat slow in some scenes, Sai Pallavi stole those moments with her radiance. Production values are decent. Suresh Bobbili's music is brilliant and elevates most of the crucial scenes in the film. His BGM is also very impressive. The cinematographer has delivered some beautiful and colorful visuals for the film. Editing could have been better. The runtime is crisp.

Review:
'Virata Parvam' is a beautiful love story that blossomed amid a war. The narrative might not be consistent but is engaging. Sai Pallavi's character can be considered as an author-backed role, and her optimistic view about her future with a Naxalite amid hopelessness and brutality is something quite different and intriguing. The film also has some other commercial elements which will entertain the audience. The Naxalite scenes don't have any emotions and also felt dragged. Overall, 'Virata Parvam' is a is a pure and memorable love story of an ordinary girl who gave up everything for the love of her life. The climax is predictable but good.
