Hero Sushanth played a key role in the last year's blockbuster Ala...Vaikunthapurramuloo. He is now back as a lead hero with a new film titled Ichata Vahanamulu Niluparadu. This comedy thriller has hit the screens today and we bring you the review of it.

Story:
Arun is a boy-next-door whose world is his family and friends. He works at an architecture firm and falls for an intern named Meenakshi, who is the younger sister of local goon Narsimha Yadav. Arun and Meenakshi plan to meet each other near the latter's house when Yadav is out of town. Arun plans to surprise Meenakshi by meeting her directly at her house but ends up in the neighbor's house. Meanwhile, he also gets mistaken as a thief by the society residents. How he comes out of this mess and wins his love forms the major crux of the film.

Performances:
Though Sushanth tried his best, he looks like a misfit for this character. His performance seemed forced and didn't justify the role. Meenakshi looked good on screen. Venkat made a silver screen comeback after a long time but his role was not properly etched. Priyadarshi got a meaty role but was not used well. Harish Koyalagundla, Ravi Varma, and Krishna Chaitanya were alright. Sunil sizzles in a cameo.

Technical Aspects:
Director Darshan's story was not convincing and it looked like he built the entire plot based on a few sequences. All the scenes look forced and pale. Not at one instance does the film engage you. Even the dialogues and the comedy scenes fall flat.

Praveen Lakkaraju's music is decent but all the songs are misplaced. The background score is loud. The cinematography is flat and has no aesthetic compositions. The editing is jarring. Production values are good though.

Review:
Nowadays, young directors are trying to pull off films with a couple of twists. What they are failing to understand is that a twist alone cannot get us success and the narration should be engaging too. If it is cliched and routine, the viewers are not in a position to accept the movies. There are many drawbacks to the script written by the director. The hero-heroine love track is not convincing, the hero's bonding with Priyadarshi is under-utilized and the villains are ineffective. The first half passes with a couple of good scenes and nothing else. The real conflict starts at the interval but is not established right in the second half. Thus, the entire film ends up as a mess and remains a boring watch.

Plus Points:
A few scenes in the second half

Minus Points:
Inconsistent storytelling
Dragged screenplay
Poorly written characters

Final Verdict: Don't dare to park your vehicles at this film's theatres
