Nithiin and Chandra Sekhar Yeleti teamed up with an exciting film titled Check. Yeleti is back with a new movie after a long time and there are a lot of expectations on this film. The film expressed confidence that the film will become a big hit. The review is here. Check it out.
Story:
Aditya (Nithin) gets arrested in a case related to terrorism and the court orders a death sentence to him. However, Aditya appeals that he is not guilty and sought legal support. Then enters the lawyer (Rakul Preet) and Aditya reveals how he has no connection with the case. But for Aditya to prove the same, he must bring a girl (Priya Varrier) into the picture. Where is she? How is she related to this case? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances:
Nithiin is undoubtedly one of the major plus points for this film. The way Nithiin blended with the character is quite impressive and we can say that he has delivered his best performance in the film.
Rakul Preet Singh is like an asset to this film. The scenes between Rakul Preet Singh and Nithiin panned out well and the audience gets involved more in the story with their characters. Priya Prakash Varrier looked bubbly and beautiful on the screen. Her chemistry with Nithiin is good.
Sampath Raj justified his role and his energetic performance added more strength to the movie. Sai Chand's performance is worth appreciating. Posani, Murali Sharma, and others made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects:
Production values by V. Anand Prasad under Bhavya Creations banner are lavish. Music by Kalyani Malik is not impressive. His audio album did not have a song that stays with us. The background music is just average. Cinematographer Rahul Shrivatsav has produced bright and colorful visuals for the movie. Editing by Sanal Anirudhan is okay. Technically, the film is not so great!
Review:
Director Chandra Sekhar Yeleti will definitely impress the audience with his story narration. He took a complex storyline and blended it very well with so many emotions and action sequences. However, he lost in sticking to one core emotion of the film. The film has a thrilling story but the way the director drove it gives boredom. The film's first half is packaged well but when it comes to the second half, it goes for a toss. The second half of the film is weak and brings the feels of the Hollywood film The Shawshank redemption and also reminds us of Prison Break. Adding Chess to the film's lead is the unique element of the story but it also could not help the film in impressing the audiences. On the whole, the film is disappointing in all aspects.
Plus Points:
Performances
Storyline
Dialogues
Minus Points:
Weak Second half
Boring scenes
Final Verdict: 'Check' not a worthy ride to check!
