The Lion King is the new English film in the town. Disney is back with an exciting story that most of us loved during our childhood. The film stars the voices of Nani, Ravi Shankar, Jagapathi Babu, Brahmanandam, Ali, Lipsika and others. The makers dubbed the English film in Telugu and promoted it so well. A promotional event was also held in Hyderabad with those who have given the voices for the characters.
Plot:
Simba, a young lion is the rightful king of his native land and his father Mufasa constantly teaches him all the values. Mufasa's brother Scar wants to take hold of the land and rule in ruthlessly with the help of his friends. He successfully plots the murder of Mufasa and makes Simga guilt of it. Later, he also plans to murder Simba but he escapes, fortunately. After years, Simba realizes the evil rule of Scar at his native land. What did Simba do then? What did Scar do to face Simba? Did Simba claim his throne? forms the film's plot.
Review:
The film's story is simple and predictable. It is not something extraordinary but is witnessed by many of us at some point in our lives. The film is the victory of innocence over the greedy. The makers tried to tell a simple tale of jealousy in an exciting manner by creating the fantasy world of the Jungle where the Lion is the King. Our Telugu audiences might not find anything amusing about the story or the screenplay.
The film was made using the Photo- Realistic technology which turned out amazingly well. We feel like watching the animals in real because of this technology and the 3D effects enhance the viewing experience too. Technically, the movie is brilliant in all aspects. The best part of the film is the way the voice artists emoted every single emotion.
Nani, Jagapathi Babu, Ravi Shankar, Brahmanandam, Ali and Lipsika have done a great justice for their roles. The comedy that came through the characters of Timon & Pumba with Brahmi & Ali voices will surely leave the audiences in splits, in the second half. Shaking Seshu, Kadambari Kiran and others' voices are also good.
Most likely, the kids will definitely enjoy this technical brilliance as they can immerse themselves into the world of animals. The film is definitely targeted at the kids but all the others can also give a try to watch it in 3D.
Although the English version will be good on any day, the makers did the right cast of voices and the dubbing is pretty decent. We recommend opting for Telugu version to enjoy the story in our favorite voices.
