Super Star Mahesh Babu is back again with yet another impressive attempt Maharshi. This is his milestone movie and the actor is all excited about the release. The theatrical trailer of Maharshi hiked the expectations of everyone to a new level and has set some expectations. Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, the film is produced by Ashwini Dutt, PVP and Dil Raju. Check out our review of the film here.
Plot:
Rishi (Mahesh Babu) is someone who realizes his dreams and becomes the CEO of a big company. But, his friend at college, Ravi (Naresh) changes his life. What did Ravi do? How did it impact Rishi's life? Forms the story of the film.
Performances:
Mahesh Babu has gone under the skin of the character and has delivered a mesmerizing performance in this film. His commendable acting skills are a delight to watch. Not only in the action sequences, but also in the emotional scenes, Mahesh Babu's dialogue delivery is outstanding. Pooja Hegde looked beautiful in this film and her chemistry with Mahesh worked out really well. Allari Naresh got a really interesting role and has delivered a memorable performance in this film.
Jagapathi Babu as an antagonist delivered an energetic performance which can be considered as one of the major highlights of the film. Rao Ramesh delivered did his best. Ananya and Meenakshi Dikshit did a convincing job. Vennela Kishore's comedy timing is superb. The rest of the cast also made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects:
As there are three big producers backing the film, music by Devi Sri Prasad is pretty much average. Only a couple of songs are impressive. But, his BGM is quite good. Cinematographer K U Mohanan's camera angles will definitely be the highlight of the film. All the visuals came out really well. Editing by KL Praveen is neat. The runtime is somewhat lengthy.
Review:
Vamsi Paidipally has proved his exceptional directorial skills with this film. The way he has narrated the story is too good. He handled it well though it is a complicated storyline. He did an impressive job in narration as well. Needless to mention, the production values are top-notch. The movie starts off on an interesting note and the entire first half is filled with romance, comedy and some emotional scenes whereas on the other hand, the second half of the movie turns a bit serious and the emotional scenes are really heartwarming. The emotions are showcased in a good manner.
Especially, the press scene and the farmers' scenes are really heart touching and inspiring. The interval bang is quite interesting. Though some of the draggy scenes can be considered as minus points for the film, there are so many plus points for this film that will make the audience stick to their chairs. Overall, 'Maharshi' is an absolute delight for Mahesh Babu fans and also a must watch the film.
Plus Points:
Mahesh Babu’s energetic performance
Entertaining First Half
Allari Naresh Performance
Montage songs and DSP’s background score
Writing
Minus Points:
Normal Entry for Mahesh might disappoint fans
Some dialogues seemed preachy
Final Verdict: Maharshi - A perfect Milestone movie in Mahesh's Career
