Yuva Samrat Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s latest film Savyasachi is releasing today. This film is the second release for him this year. Well, this film got the attention of the audience as the ‘vanishing twin syndrome’ concept is the basic plot for Savyasachi movie.
On the other hand, Naga Chaitanya is waiting for a decent hit at the box office as his previous films didn’t fare well. At this juncture, Savyasachi would give Chaitanya success or not is discussed below in the Savyasachi review.
Story:
Vikram Aditya (Naga Chaitanya) is an Ad filmmaker and he borns with a vanishing twin syndrome. This syndrome makes his left hand behave independently without his directions. Coming to his family, he is closely attached to his sister (Bhumika) & nephew.
Here comes a Psychopath killer in the form of Arun Raj (R Madhavan). He tries to kill Bhumika’s family and in the process, Bhumika’s husband gets killed & her daughter goes missing. These incidents make Vikram go behind Arun Raj to take the revenge.
Why Arun Raj targeted Vikram’s sister is the rest of the story.
Actors & Performances:
Naga Chaitanya: He perfectly suited to the role. His intense performance in action sequences looks good.
R Madhavan: He is a seasoned actor and did many films in several languages. His experience was underutilized in this movie and his character design is also not so attractive.
Niddhi Agerwal: She didn’t have much to perform in the movie.
Rest of the cast includes – Rao Ramesh, Bhumika, Vennela Kishore played their parts.
Analysis:
Writer-Director Chandoo Mondeti picked up an interesting concept for this film. However, he failed to convert the interesting point to an interesting film. In the first half, the college episodes turned out as the major flaw and in one way those scenes test the patience of the audience.
Well, he tried to compensate for the flaws in the first half with some of the interesting episodes in the second half. Unfortunately, the first half screenplay effects reflect on the second half and it also looks boring except for the pre-climax portions.
Mainly Chandoo lacked in writing section and especially the flat & unattractive screenplay does major damage to the movie.
Technical Aspects:
MM Keeravani’s Background score is fine and the remix of Ninnu Road Meeda song didn’t have the impact of the original song. The Cinematography from Yuvaraj is outstanding. Production values from Mythri Movie Makers are grand.
Plus Points:
+ Vanishing Twin Syndrome Concept
+ Naga Chaitanya
Minus Points:
- First Half
- Direction
- College Backdrop Scenes
- Songs
Final Verdict: Savyasachi- Naga Chaitanya’s wait for a hit to be continued.
