Vishal made his debut in Telugu industry with Pandem Kodi back in 2005 and it gave him the grand entry into Telugu land. Later on, he gradually increased his fan base over the period. After 13 years, he is coming up with the sequel to Pandem Kodi in the form of Pandem Kodi 2. Will Pandem Kodi 2 carry forward the success of Pandem Kodi or not is discussed below in the following Pandem Kodi 2 review.
Story:
Raja Reddy (Raj Kiran) has got control over 7 villages in the Rayalaseema region and every year he organizes Veerabhadra Swamy festival in the village. Unfortunately, a clash between two families in the festival results in the bloodbath among both the sides.
In this clash, Bhavani (Varalami Sarathkumar)loses his husband and develops anger against Vasu (Vishal) who kills her husband in the clash. It later turns into a revenge ploy between Bhavani & Raja Reddy families.
At this juncture, Bhavani plans a murder attempt on Vasu in the Veerabhadra Swamy festival. Did Bhavani murdered Vasu in the festival or not unfolds on the silver screen.
Actors & Performances:
Vishal- Vishal gave the performance required to the role and it is the routine stuff which we are seeing from him over the years.
Keerthy Suresh- She played the bubbly girl role in the film. She is the stressbuster or relief in the film from the action scenes.
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar- She gave her best to the role offered to her. However, her villainy performance may not get the applause from the audience in the Telugu circuit.
Analysis:
Pandem Kodi 2 title itself brought so many expectations among the audience as it is the sequel to a big blockbuster back in 200. However, Lingusamy failed to utilize this opportunity as the storyline is very thin compared to the first part.
Well, this story has got decent action elements, performances in good quantities. Unfortunately, the above got sidelined due to the loosely knitted storyline. Despite throwing an attempt to showcase the lady villainy in the film, it fails to grab the attention of the audience.
Finally, Pandem Kodi’s screenplay magic is clearly missed in the Pandem Kodi 2. It makes this film looks lifeless.
Technical Aspects:
Yuvan Shankar Raja’s songs & BGM are not in synch with the script. The direction also falls flat as the storyline is weak. Dialogues are also pretty adequate.
Plus Points:
+ Action Sequences
+ Keerthy Suresh & Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar
Minus Points:
- Routine Story
- Violence
Final Verdict: Pandem Kodi 2 Falls Flat…
