Young and talented hero Nikhil is known for coming up with energetic performances on screen with interesting films. His last attempt in the form of Keshava’s result disappointed him. This time he opted for a Kannada remake to make sure his decision clicks at the box office.
Well, this Kannada hit film- Kirik Party now turned as Kiraak Party in Telugu will give him the success or not is discussed below in the detailed Kiraak Party review.
Story Plot:
Actually, this film is all about an Engineering student named Krishna’s (Nikhil Siddharth) college experiences from the day 1 to the farewell day. In the course of time, his friendships, rivalries with seniors, love for the senior girl in the college and turning from chocolate boy to rough-bearded man are the things we come across in the film. The reasons behind his body language change and the details regarding people who influenced him in the four years will be showcased on the screen.
Actors & Performances:
Nikhil Siddharth: He is the soul of the film and his life experiences in the engineering college are the crux of the movie. He gave his best shot when it comes to two different looks.
Simran Pareenja: She played the role (Meera Joseph) of a senior and the most beautiful girl in the college. She is good on screen and her acting skills are also fine.
Samyuktha Hegde: Samyuktha played the same role of which she was done in the Kirik Party movie. She absolutely got suited to the role of a hyperactive girl.
Rakendu Mouli, Viva Raghav, RJ Hemanth clicked in their roles as friends. Popular actor Brahmaji did a small role.
Analysis:
College life is a very special phase in almost everyone’s life. It is the reason why the college backdrop stories will have that encouragement and applause from the cine-goers. Well, coming to this film, actor Nikhil’s friends and current lot young directors Sudheer Varma (screenplay) & Chandoo Mondeti (dialogues) contributed to this movie.
Coming to the film, duration of 165 minutes turned out as a major flaw in the movie. Director tries to fill the first half with the protagonist’s trials to woo the senior girl in the college and also some scenes of senior-junior fights. In the second half, he captures the transformation of the hero from chocolate to rough-bearded man and the revival of friendships.
However, the thing called ‘engaging’ and making the audience getting ‘connected’ to the movie was somewhere missed. Maybe the duration is the main culprit for this biggest shortfall. One more major flaw in this movie is- “audience may not be able to found the actual crux of the story as they are zoned out in some scenes”.
Director lagged in pulling the audience attention in some key scenes and it eventually made this film as a ‘party without sufficient kick’.
Technical Aspects:
Cinematography and Music departments are stands out as best. The lyrics are very good.
Plus Points:
+ Lead Actors Performances
+ Songs
+ Cinematography
Minus Points:
- Screenplay
- Duration
- Direction
Final Verdict: Kirrak Party- This party lags the “kiraak”ness in it...
