Telugu Film Industry Meets Telangana CM Resulted In Positive Outcome

Producer and FDC Chairman Dil Raju, after meeting Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, shared details of their discussion with the media. With speculations of a rift between the government and the film industry gaining traction, this meeting sought to clear misunderstandings and focus on the industry's development.

Dil Raju revealed that CM Revanth Reddy expressed a vision to elevate Telugu cinema beyond national recognition. The Chief Minister also highlighted the need for the industry to contribute to social causes, particularly the fight against drug and narcotics abuse. He suggested that actors and other prominent figures take part in awareness campaigns to tackle this pressing issue.

To ensure smooth collaboration, the CM recommended forming a joint committee comprising representatives from the government, the Film Development Corporation, and the film industry. This committee will address challenges, resolve issues, and plan the way forward.

Dil Raju dismissed concerns about minor issues like ticket price hikes and benefit shows, emphasizing that these were not significant obstacles.
