The Telangana Assembly on Saturday delved into the repercussions of the tragic stampede at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad during the pre-release event for Pushpa 2.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy criticized the Telugu film industry and held Allu Arjun accountable, alleging that his presence caused the chaos. In response, Allu Arjun addressed the media once again, offering his perspective on the incident and addressing the accusations.
Allu Arjun expressed profound sorrow over the loss of Revathi’s life and wished her son, Sriteja, a swift recovery. He firmly denied allegations that he organized a roadshow, clarifying that his car was merely halted due to the crowd.
Despite the film’s massive success, he revealed that he has been staying at home, unable to celebrate, and grappling with the emotional toll of the incident for the past 15 days.
Arjun also addressed accusations of visiting the theater without permission, explaining that he went only after receiving clearance from the police. He stated he was unaware of the stampede at the time and only learned about it the following day.
Responding to allegations of negligence, he said, “The comments made by some individuals are deeply hurtful. They are attempts to tarnish my reputation on a national level.”
The actor shared that he intended to visit the hospital to check on Sriteja but refrained after being advised against it by the authorities. He reiterated that the incident was accidental and that no one was to blame. Arjun expressed his frustration over the remarks made in the Assembly, stating that they were unfair and personally painful.
