Superstar Mahesh Babu is set to voice the character Mufasa in the upcoming film Mufasa: The Lion King, which is scheduled for release on December 20, 2024. Known for providing voiceovers in films such as Jalsa, Badshah, and Acharya, Mahesh Babu's involvement brings a star-studded touch to the project.
Joining him, veteran comedian Brahmanandam will voice Pumbaa, and Ali will lend his voice to Timon. Additionally, Satyadev and Ayyappa P. Sharma are on board to voice Taka and Kiros, respectively.
The plot centers around Mufasa, an orphaned lion cub who meets Taka, the heir to a royal bloodline. This meeting triggers a journey of self-discovery involving a group of unique characters searching for their destinies.
The film is described as both a prequel and sequel to the original story, expanding the narrative of the beloved The Lion King universe.
