Mirzapur needs no introduction to the netizens as it is one of the most enjoyed web series in India. The series that premieres on Amazon Prime Video already have three seasons. The fourth season is in the making too. Now, interestingly, the makers confirmed that a film will be released in 2026 with the same title and team.
An official teaser has been dropped, revealing Gurmmeet Singh as the director and Puneet Krishna as the writer. The movie is scheduled for release in 2026.
The theatrical film will mark the return of Pankaj (Kaleen Bhaiya), Ali Fazal (Guddu Pandit) and Divyenndu (Munna), along with Abhishek Banerjee (Compounder).
The first season was released in November 2018 and the second season in October 2020. The third season of the show was released in July 2024. The series is produced by Excel Entertainments and they are bankrolling the film as well.
Post the theatrical release, the film will be made available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
