Decoding OTT Deal of Ram Charan's Gamechanger

Mega Power Star Ram Charan's highly anticipated film Game Changer, directed by Shankar, sparked quite a buzz on social media yesterday. Rumors spread, fueled by anti-fans, claiming that the OTT rights of the film were sold for just ₹50 crores, suggesting a decline in Charan's stardom.

The rumors originated from a Bollywood social media handle that mentioned Game Changer signing an agreement for ₹50 crores in digital rights. Since the Hindi version wasn't specified, the implication was that this amount covered all languages combined, which raised eyebrows.

Amazon Prime had already secured the rights to this pan-India film months ago, as officially announced in their promotional materials. The contract only covered the Telugu and Tamil versions, and industry insiders estimate that the deal is between ₹100 to ₹110 crores.

Despite the speculation, the production of Game Changer hasn't been negatively affected. Promotions for the film haven’t ramped up yet, though the teaser is ready and could potentially be released around Diwali.
