Kalki 2898 AD was released in theaters on June 27 and has grossed an impressive Rs 1200 crore at the worldwide box office.
The director also added that the sequel will take less time to produce and is expected to release sooner than the first part, which took four years to make. The sequel is likely to be released in 2027. He mentioned that they have already completed 25 days of shooting
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie features an ensemble cast including Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. It also includes cameo appearances by Vijay Devarakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, Ram Gopal Varma, SS Rajamouli, and Mrunal Thakur.
The film also stars Disha Patani, Brahmanandam, Anna Ben, Pasupathy, and Shobana in significant roles. Building on this success, the filmmakers have already commenced work on a sequel.
