Shankarabharanam editor GG Krishna Rao passes away

While the Telugu film industry is yet to digest Taraka Ratna's death, it lost yet another prominent member. Renowned editor GG Krishna Rao, who worked for many super-hit films in the past, passed away this morning in Bengaluru.

 

Reportedly, Krishna Rao died due to age-related issues. He was 87. He worked as an editor for more than 200 films in his career. He is known for his collaborations with directors like K. Vishwanath, Jandhyala and Dasari Narayana Rao. He proved his mettle by working on both art and commercial films.

 

Krishna Rao hails from Bengaluru but his close association with Telugu films made him a member of the Telugu film fraternity. His notable works include films like Sankarabharanam, Sagara Sangamam, Subhalekha, Swathi Muthyam, Sardar Paparayudu, Suthradharulu, Bobbili Puli, Shrutilayalu, Sirivennela, Naludu Sthambalata, Seethamaalakshmi, Muddha Mandaram, Shubha Sankalpam and Shubha Pradam. Krishna Rao also worked for Hindi films like Mastana and Milan, and Tamil films like Ezhumalaiyan Mahimai and Salangai Oli.

 

Many celebrities who worked with him are praying for his soul to rest in peace and are sending their condolences to the grieving family.
