Nandamuri Taraka Ratna, a 39-year-old Tollywood actor, has been hospitalized after suffering a mild cardiac arrest. The incident occurred while he was at an event with Nara Lokesh and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna, when a group of party activists rushed towards them and Taraka Ratna fell unconscious. He was rushed to a private hospital and was without a pulse for nearly 45 minutes, and his body had turned blue.
The doctors performed CPR and were able to revive him after 45 minutes. His condition is now stable, but he will be handed over to cardiologists for further treatment. MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna is currently with Taraka Ratna at the hospital, and there are reports that the Nandamuri family may transfer him to a hospital in Bengaluru for specialized treatment. Taraka Ratna is the grandson of Telugu actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. T. Rama Rao.
He made his debut in the film industry with the film Okato Number Kurraadu in 2002, and was last seen in the Disney+ Hotstar web series 9 Hours.
