Usually, the Telugu movies getting an Oscar has never happened in the history of Telugu cinema so far. Ever since the release of RRR, there is a discussion that RRR might get nominated for the Oscars and the movie might also manage to win at least one Oscar award.
Interestingly, popular Hollywood web portal Variety has shared a prediction on the Oscar nominations and predicted that RRR will win two awards.

Best Actor: Ram Charan & Jr NTR - along with Other possible contenders
Best Original Screenplay: RRR - along with Other top-tier contenders
Best Original Song: Dosti - MM Keeravani
Best International Film: RRR
