According to the grapevine, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will play the female lead in the movie. This is the second film in the combination of Rajini and Aishwarya, after the 2010 blockbuster Endhiran.
Priyanka Arul Mohan, Ramya Krishnan and Shivarajkumar will play other important roles in it.
