The next big release in Tollywood is Nandamuri Balakrishna's Akhanda, which is all set to hit the screens on December 2. As it is the third film in the combination of Balayya and director Boyapati Srinu, there is huge anticipation around it. Their previous films Simha and Legend were blockbusters at the box office.
Akhanda features Pragya Jaiswal as the female lead. It is the first time Pragya got a chance to share the screen space with Balayya. The actress has revealed that she is playing the role of an IAS officer in the film.
Speaking in an interview with the Deccan Chronicle, Pragya said, "I am playing a bureaucrat for the first time. It’s surreal as I’ve never played such a role before. I can’t wait to show the audience how my role and the film have shaped up."
The Kanche actress said that she didn't get a lot of time to prep up for the role but director Boyapati has guided her to give the best.
"I had to join the film sets as soon as I was roped in, so my prep time was very little, and my transformation into the character happened on the sets. So also, I thank the film’s director, Boyapati Srinu, for having guided me into doing the part effortlessly," said Pragya.
"And I can’t wait to show the audience the efforts that have gone into my role," she further added.
