Actor Sai Dharam Tej is stable now and is doing well, said the doctors of Apollo Hospital the other day. He has met with an accident on Friday and sustained a few minor injuries.
The police have registered a case against him under sections 336&279 of the Indian penal Code and Section 184 of the MV Act, for rash and reckless driving.
Meanwhile, Madhapur DCP in charge M. Venkateshwarlu said that Tej bought the bike second hand from LB Nagar's resident Anil Kumar. The cops are currently interrogating Anil Kumar regarding the same.
It is also stated that the bike is not registered in Tej's name yet. Apparently, a challan of Rs.1135 had been issued on the bike in the past for over-speeding. One of Tej's fans cleared the challan the other day.
Apparently, Tej was riding the bike at 72 kmph at the time of the accident. Apparently, his bike was at a speed of 102 kmph near Durgam Cheruvu. The police have stated that Tej was riding fast and when he tried to overtake an auto from the left side, his bike skidded, eventually leading to the accident.
It was also stated that Tej's two-wheeler license is yet to be found. It seems that he only has a Light Motor Vehicle driving license. Tej was wearing a helmet and didn't consume any alcohol at the time of the accident, said the police.
