Shruti Haasan is the star heroine getting busy with back to back films again. After Krack success, she is awaiting the release of her Tamil film Laabam. She is also acting in Prabhas' Salaar and is in talks with a couple of biggies. Prashant Neel is the director of Salaar who is aiming for a pan-India release. The film's shoot is currently in progress. There is a discussion over picking Shruti Haasan for the heroine's role in the movie.
The Kannada fans were unhappy on the selection. They expected Prashant to cast a Kannada speaking heroine but the makers chose Shruti Haasan. Not just that, a few years ago, when she was asked about doing a Kannada film, the actress revealed that she won't be doing a Kannada film anytime soon. The way she revealed it did not go well with the fans. The sources say that Shruti was offered a film in Kannada back then but in the last minute, she had to let go off the project because of the film unit. She then decided not to do any Kannada film soon.
Now, the fans are bringing this discussion back to criticise Shruti and express their displeasure. However, Shruti has given a clarity regarding the same. Shruti Haasan revealed that she has a huge respect for Kannada industry and she will do films in Kannada. She also added that people misunderstood her tweet.
