Ayyappanum Koshiyum is one of the exciting films in Malayalam in recent times. The director of the film, Sachy passed away last night. Earlier, he was admitted to hospital for hip surgery but he suffered a cardiac arrest. The doctors were treating him on a ventilator and they could not save him! He was also the writer for the film Driving License, another hit in Malayalam, in the recent times.

Sitara Entertainments will bankroll the remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Rana and Ravi Teja are in talks for the lead roles. Sagar Chandra might direct the film.
