Gully Boy, featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, is one of biggest Bollywood hits this year. The film is based on how a college student from slum achieves his dream as a rap singer. Made by Zoya Akthar, Gully Boy collected around Rs 240 Cr globally. Also, the film received good applause at various international film festivals.
Now, the makers are taking it to Japan. Gully Boy is scheduled to release in Japan on September 3. As part of promotions, director Zoya Akhtar will fly to Japan and interact with fans about the movie. Bollywood artists Kalki Koechlin and Siddhant Chaturvedi have played crucial roles in the film. The main plot of the film is inspired by the life of rap singers Divine and Negi.
