It is known that Rashmika Mandanna has been paired opposite Vijay Devarakonda for the second time, after the super success of Geeta Govindam. Not in Geetha Govindham, but their onscreen chemistry in 'Dear Comrade' also seems to have come out very well. But, for makers, Rashmika was not the first option to go for.
As, according to Industry reports, the sensation of South - Sai Pallavi was the first choice for 'Dear Comrade'. But, the actress has reportedly turned down the offer after the initial round of discussions. Yes, Sai Pallavi has denied playing cricketer Lily in Dear Comrade as she wasn't okay doing intimate and kissing scenes with her co-actor. In fact, Sai Pallavi has always made sure to take up subjects which demand her acting prowess, rather than the glamour show and obscenity. So, the makers of Dear Comrade roped in Rashmika as the leading lady.
