After Vivegam, Akshara Haasan was not seen in any film and Vivegam marks her Tamil debut. Almost after two years, Akshara is part of a film and it is none other than Kadaram Kondan, which is releasing on July 19. This Vikram starrer is directed by Rajesh M Selva.
Akshara plays the role of Athira, a soon to be a mom who is leading a happy married life. While her husband falls into trouble, the troublemakers get caught of Athira and keep her in their custody.
Asked about why she chose the role, the actress said that she has been looking for something different and so, she was impressed with the role. “I am intentionally working on a slow pace because I am looking for scripts that excite me. I am not in a hurry to sign back to back films. So I sign up slowly, and enjoy my free time,” said the actress.
Akshara played a pregnant in the film and when asked about who taught her the nuances of being and playing a pregnant, she said that it was her mom Sagarika who helped her in doing the role better. “Mom helped me in making the skill perfect and even my friends who are mothers and pregnant as well now. I must say it was very difficult and challenging. Hats off to all mom’s right there,” she said.
Acting with Vikram is definitely not so easy and is a dream for many heroines. Akshara, like many of us, grew up watching his films and she says sharing screen space with Vikram was amazing and that she looks up to him even now.
