Mallesham, a biopic on Padma Shri award winner from Telangana -Chintakindi Mallesham, has a young artist Priyadarshi playing the lead role. The path-breaking trailer of the film was released on Wednesday and it is now 'talk of the town'.
The film directed by Raj R narrates an inspiring story of Mallesham who faced several hardships to invent an 'Asu Machine', which can weave a Pochampalli saree in just 1.5 hours. Recognising his efforts and hardwork behind his invention, the central government awarded him with the highly prestigious 'Padma Shri' award in 2017. While several film celebs like Rana Daggubati, Adivi Sesh, Raj Tarun, Lakshmi Manchu, Rahul Ramakrishna, Gopi Mohan and Vennela Kishore have already dropped a post in praise of the film's trailer, the latest to join the list is noted politician and working President of Telangana Rashtra Samithi - KTR.
The former IT Minister on Thursday tweeted about Mallesham saying: "Watch the trailer of @MalleshamMovie - a biopic based on the inspiring journey of a rural innovator Chintakindi Mallesham from Telangana. He was awarded Padma Shri in 2017 for inventing the Asu machine. Best wishes to the entire movie crew."
The biopic kind-of film, featuring Ananya as the leading lady, is produced by Sri Adhikari and Raj R and it is scheduled for release on June 21.
