Supriya Yarlagadda, the granddaughter of late actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao is back to silver screen after 22 years. The actor who made her debut with Akkada Ammayi IKkada Abbayi, next to Pawan Kalyan, has played Nadiya Qureshi in Goodachari which released on Friday.
For her performance as a deputy director of chief task investigation department for the RAW, the actor has won accolades from her fans and critics as well. The actor spoke to the media on Saturday and has shared the happiness.
“Many filmmakers have approached me for a couple of projects but as I was not interested, I really did not get back to them. But when the makers of Goodachari approached me and narrated me the script and role, I just couldn’t say no to them. I told them that I would like to give an audition and asked them to rope me in only if they like my work,” said Supriya.
After taking a break from films, Supriya has slowly moved into the production department and has started taking care of their home banner Annapurna Studios. Right now, she is playing a key role in the banner.
When asked what her interests are, the actor said that she is passionate about writing and also that she helps many of her friends in writing lines for their scripts. “I wanted to be a writer. But somehow, I am the production side now. But after taking care of production from last 2 decades, I should now say that acting is a way easier,” added the actor.
She is happy that Goodachari is a hit and also that is receiving positive response from all over. The film also stars Adivi Sesh, Shobhitha Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu and others in key roles. The film is directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka.
