Before the Telugu industry even recovered from the 'Drugs Probe' shock, another incident came into limelight recently. A prostitution racket was busted by the police and four persons were arrested, which include two heroines from Mumbai.
The police raided two five-star hotels in Banjara Hills area on Saturday and held four people involved in prostitution. Two actresses were saved and two brokers, who were running the racket online by booking the rooms in star hotels for the customers, were also taken into custody.
The Inspector of Police at Panjgutta police station, S Ravinder mentioned that they had got the information about the prostitution at Taj Deccan and hence raided the hotel. Later, two more persons, including the television actress, were arrested from another star hotel in the same area.
Further investigations are going on and the actresses are in the police custody. The police want to send them to the rehabilitation if the prostitution case is proven. This is not the first time that junior actress and wanna-be heroines get in the middle of sex rackets and prostitution cases. Proper action must be taken against this.
