Recently, the noted singer Pranavi gave an interview to a prominent web channel wherein she revealed she sang a song and the credit was given as sung by Shreya Ghoshal. While this does come across as a shock, Pranavi also mentioned this happened with her consent.
At the end of the day, it looks evident that even popular singers are also becoming ghost singers at the behest of the producers or the music directors. At this point in time, it is hard to authenticate what Pranavi said but many are taking it as true on face value.
