The magnum opus Baahubali is preparing to arrive with its second part but the mania for the film has gone so high that this example would convince you. The Hindi version was re-released across 1000 screens nationwide recently and the collections have shocked Bollywood.
Apparently, the first day collections touched a whopping Rs 1.5 crores. Normally, this is the cost for publicity and that was recovered right in first day collections. The trade pundits have put this as no gain no loss but pointed out that a huge publicity wave has erupted.
Anyhow the second part is arriving so this re-release has become more like a revisit and warm-up for the north Indian cine buffs. The film is still on in theatres and it would be interesting to see how much it collects at the end of its full business run.
