Out of many prestigious film festivals which happen annually in India, The International Film Festival in Goa occupies a special place. Many acclaimed films are screened here after filtering and scrutiny. Out of 230 nominations all over the country, only 22 of them are picked up for the final screening and it is considered to be a greatest honor for any film to make it to the final list.
Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Beginning has made it to the list and will be screening in Goa film festival this year. The film was selected by a jury committee comprising of 13 members in which Telugu producer and director CV Reddy also is a part of.
Baahubali got this chance of screening after winning the best film award in the recently announced 63rd National Film Awards Apart from Baahubali, Bollywood films Bajirao Mastani and Akshay Kumar’s Airlift will also be selected in the final screening.
This is indeed a moment of pride for Tollywood to have Baahubali screened in such a great festival.
