Dwaraka is an upcoming entertainer starring Vijaya Devarakonda of Pelli Choopulu fame and Pooja Jhaveri in lead roles. Music for the film is composed by Sai Karthik and here is an iQlik exclusive audio review of the album:
The anticipated album begins with Bhajare Nanda Gopala – a flawless rendition by legendary singer Chitra. The song is instantly appealing with foot tapping rhythm, flute magic and fun filled interludes. The song itself sets the stage for a chartbuster in traditional style. It is an out and out winner thanks to the brilliant rendition by Chitra.
Adire Dhada Puttindhe is a stylish number based on classical raga Abheri and sung well by Sai Charan. This song is quite high on energy levels and follows a foot tapping rhythmic pattern. The mild trance effect blended with classical touches is a good move by the composer.
The pace is increased with Janthar Manthar sung by Saketh Komanduri and penned by Rahman. The lyrics are quite philosophical and at the same time suit the likings of modern listeners. The steady rhythm is quite appealing and has the flavours of Raaga Punnagavarali. The interludes are eerie and the same time melodious.
A melodious detour occurs with Entha Chitram Kada sung by the young talent Sameera Bharadwaj. The breezy flute, string section and neat rendition by her gives the song a new appeal. Rahman’s lyrics are quite poetic and compelling. The bass work deserves a great mention for its timely changeovers.
Allabbi Allabbi is a typical Sai Karthik style composition with peppiness and funkiness. The song marks a right finale with stylish trance loops and strings. The singers Revanth and Divika did a brilliant job in giving the album a mass touch.
Verdict:
Dwaraka is a thoroughly enjoyable fare from Sai Karthik. Vijay Devarakonda gets another musical hit after Yevade Subrahmanyam and Pelli Choopulu!
