NBK’s prestigious 100th film preparations are going on in full swing and Balayya is keen to finalize Krish’s Gautamiputra Satakarni as his much awaited 100th film. Legendary character, historic subject and on top of it the Amaravathi backdrop – what else can Balayya wait for!
This historic film is touted to be a co-production of Sai Korrapati’s Vaarahi Chalana Chitra and Krish’s First Frame Entertainments (the banner that produced Kanche) and the budget is estimated to be over Rs 65 Crores. But given Balakrishna’s current market value, this film is certainly a risky bet but the makers are gearing up to go ahead with this estimated budget irrespective of the stats.
Well on the other hand, there is market for historic films and period dramas and films like Baahubali, Rudramadevi & Kanche have only proved it. Moreover, director Krish has the quintessential experience and expertise in making such prestigious projects. So, this will be yet another favorable aspect for the producers.
Balayya’s star power can bring in the openings and even if the film garners mixed talk, the film can recover the budget. But unlike a one man show, the film ought to be a multi-starrer project to make the essential cut, as per trade pundits. Let’s see what more surprises time holds for us!
