Films and Television are integral part of our lives and two powerful segments of media. However, electronic media and film industry here have been at loggerheads regarding promotions and reviews.
Coming to the news, recently popular regional news channel TV5 aired a review of Ram’s recent outing Nenu Sailaja and lashed out the film, declaring it a commercial flop. This came out as a shock to the other sphere of the industry as this film garnered a decent talk and reviews. The film is being considered as the biggest commercial success in Ram’s career with around Rs 14Cr (gross) in the first weekend itself. Well Ram gave a whacky counter to the channel through his Twitter handle for spitting venom upon his film.
Now the other day, yet other regional news channel NTV aired a special program on Telugu Heroes and their acting skills. This channel went to the extent of declaring popular heroes like Ram Charan, Naga Chaitanya, Akhil, Nithiin, Gopichand as non-actors and are unnecessarily being forced onto public, according to the reports.
Well no one from the industry or the fan community has reportedly reacted to this yet but the friction between film industry and electronic media has once again evoked serious concern and discussion all over.
