Being a film producer in Tollywood is a herculean task because the budget will exceed the planned amount at any point of time. As a result, many producers tend to take additional support from financiers hoping that the film would fetch more returns. But things get worse when the producer fails to repay the financier irrespective of the film’s result.
Producer Prathani Ramakrishna Goud’s office was attacked by financier Nageshwara Rao’s family alleging that the former didn’t repay the money. Going to the details, Ramakrishna was making a film called Prateekara Jwala and took 35 lakh from Nageshwara Rao hoping to finish the film in schedule.
Unfortunately, the film was halted in between and the producer failed to repay the amount. Ramakrishna filed a police complaint on Nageshwara Rao for attacking his office and destroying the furniture.
Prateekara Jwala is touted to be based on an original story where a family in Hyderabad suffers after the death of Indira Gandhi in 1984. Yuktha Mukhi is casted in the lead role and it is her first Telugu film.
