The maverick director Ram Gopal Varma has special penchant for real life crime incidents and always look to make films based on such stories. Rakta Charitra is one such classic example for his passion in this regard.
Now, RGV chose another terror stricken personality Veerappan as the lead character for his upcoming project Killing Veerappan. The project had lot of obstacles and debates relating to this project the moment it was announced. But RGV is a powerful individual who is not new to such controversies and opposition. He successfully completed the shooting and also announced that the film will release on December 4th in Telugu, Kannada and Tamil languages.
While RGV is busy promoting his film and there is less than a week for its release, he is faced with the ultimate obstacle. Veerappan’s wife Muthulakshmi is demanding a ban on the film claiming that the director took permission to make the film in Hindi alone and she wasn’t told about releasing in other langagues. She even claimed that Veerappan was shown in negative light in the latest trailer.
Muthulakshmi is demanding now that unless the entire film is shown prior to her and she makes sure nothing objectionable is in it, she wouldn’t let the film release on the scheduled date. We will have to wait and see how the witty RGV handles this tough situation!
