In a bottleneck environment which modern films are being a part of, nobody knows who would be the part of a film until it hits the sets eventually. There are some films which had change of actors even after hitting the sets. Pawan Kalyan’s Sardar Gabbar Singh itself is a classic example of this. But here is another versatile director who is facing a similar problem for his next project!
He is none other than pride of South Indian Cinema- the artistic filmmaker Mani Ratnam. After the brilliant success of Ok Bangaram, Mani Ratnam chose his forte of making revenge drama next in which Dulquer Salman and Karthi were supposed to play the lead roles. There were many names such as Aishwarya Rai, Shruti Hassan and Nitya Menon heard for the female lead but the final news was Keerthy Suresh would be sharing the screen space.
But things went haywire when Dulquer opted out of the project because of his dates issue with a Pratap Pothan film he is doing in Malayalam. Mani took a decision of casting Nani for the role of Dulquer. Just when things looked like they are settling down, Keerthy Suresh also walked out of the project!
Sources say that the main reason for Keerthy Suresh quitting the project is because her role has less importance. Let us hope Mani finds some competent actress soon so that the film can go into sets soon.
