As radical as it may sound, the very world of cinema is like a gambling roulette wherein luck and fortune plays a lot of significance. Despite that, the passion towards cinema drives many to take some risks. While some are calculated risks, some are absolutely gutsy and somewhat crazy.
That is the talk emanating right now with regard to the Telugu version of the Tamil movie Puli. Slated for release on October 1st, it is heard that Sridevi has demanded one crore for dubbing in Telugu for her role. Generally, if the best dubbing artist is hired for 1 or 2 lakhs work will be done.
If such a thing happens it would be negative for Sridevi but it is heard that producers are going ahead with her demand. However, the big question is, how much difference is it going to make. Ultimately content matters and only if movie is good things happen at the box office. Though big stars give dubbing it is not going to determine the film’s success. So, whose risk is it?
