Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Baahubali are two back to back blockbusters Indian cinema has been gifted with. While one is a Superstar’s film, the other is an underdog who is creating wonders at the box-office rewriting history.
Baahubali (Hindi version) is still roaring at the Bollywood box-office with over Rs 73 crores so far and with over Rs 390 crore worldwide gross (in two weeks) Baahubali remains to the be front runner closely followed by Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan (over Rs 300 crores in 6 days). So, naturally there is tough competition between both the super hits.
Going into the details, in Uttar Pradesh state there is a tough fight going on between Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan regarding the number of screens in each multiplex. According to latest reports, some influential fans of Bajrangi Bhaijaan are trying to pressurize the multiplexes in some parts of UP to increase the number of shows for Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Requests to make the film tax free are already made in UP so as to attract more crowds. In some parts of Noida and New Delhi, there are just three shows of Baahubali while Bajrangi is enjoying 16 shows a day.
A straight Hindi film shall relatively have more demand than a dubbed one but an epic film with merit like Baahubali also deserves support to withstand the competition. Hope and wish the same merit shall create more wonders at the box-office!
