Latest trend and saying of film industry is “make a short film to get a chance in big film”. This formula is working actually and Karthik Ghattamaneni, Sujeeth, Viva Harsha are the latest examples.
And of late, some big wigs of Tollywood are closely watching the short film industry to find fresh talent for the bigscreen. Even someone like Director Puri jagannadh recently conducted a talent hunt for new writers and assistant directors.
Coming to the news, renowned writer and filmmaker Kona Venkat recently saw a short film and got impressed with the performance of a girl who played a lead character in that short film.
He was so impressed that he wanted to cast her in one of his next upcoming films. He tried and finally reached out to her on Facebook only to get shocked by her reaction.
Poor girl thought it was a fake call and denied his offer. It came as a bit of surprise to Kona who later shared about the entire episode and stated that
"Opportunities comes very rarely to us. If we overlook them we have to regret ourselves for our judgement."
Hope and wish luck knocks that unlucky girl's door just once more!
