'Mesmerizingly Feel Good' - Mukunda Audio Review

Mukunda is an upcoming romantic film starring Mega family debutante Sai Varun Tej and Pooja Hegde in lead roles. Music for the film is composed by Mickey J Mayers and the film is directed by Sreekanth Addala, who earlier gave successful films like Kotha Bangaru Lokam and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Legendary lyricist Sirivennela Sitaramasastry penned the lyrics for all the songs. Here is an exclusive audio review of the album:

The promising album begins with Chesedheho in a breezy fashion comprising of philosophical lyrics by legendary Seetharama Sastry. Rahul Nambiar pulls it off with his thumping vocals and good orchestration supports the track quite well. The stylish guitar grooves and chord progression are fantastic.

Daredham brings down the pace with subtleness and sweetness in terms of presentation. The lyrics make their presence strongly in this romantic duet yet again. The rhythm is laid back with sweet vocals by Mickey J Meyer and Sai Shivani. The fantastic flute rendition in the second interlude is a highlight. However, the track carries Mickey’s signature style of musical arrangements.

The trendiness continues with Chaala Bagundhi sung by the ever talented Haricharan. The foot tapping rhythm, cool guitar riffs and sweet sounding string section paves the way for a passionate solo. It would be needless to mention that Sirivennela garu’s lyrics give a special dimension to the track. Despite the faint resemblance with Bollywood number Challa from Jab Tak Hai Jaan, the track carries a great individuality.

The fantastic playback singer Chitra makes her mark felt with Gopikamma. The traditional presentation isn’t altered at any point of the composition though it is presented in a modern format. The lyrics speak of epic mythological character Lord Krishna in prowess.

Arere Chandrakala is a rhythm based duet with faint jazz touches in terms of bass. Karthik delivers another good number for Mickey J Meyer in style. Neat piano touches and good interludes make it an enjoyable hearing.

The breeziness makes its presence with Nandalala sung by Shwetha Pandit at her sweetness best. The extreme pleasantness this track offers is something commendable. Relaxing orchestration and neat presentation are its highlights.

The album arrives to a finale with Mukunda Theme – a thumping instrumental track with Hard Rock styled rhythm section and electric guitar riffs paving for a stylish ending.

Verdict:

Mukunda is a breathtakingly feel good album from Mickey J Meyer. Sirivennela’s lyrics add as a biggest strong point for this album making it one of the most pleasant albums released this year.
