Govindhudu Andari Vadele is an upcoming family entertainer starring Ram Charan, Kajal Agarwal, Srikanth and Kamalinee Mukherjee in lead roles. Prakash Raj and Jayasudha play pivotal roles in this anticipated film. Music for it is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the film is directed by Krishna Vamshi- a director with versatile taste. Here is an iQlik exclusive audio review of the album:
The album begins with Neeli Rangu Cheeralona sung by veteran singer Hariharan. The song has a great Telugu nativity associated with it and the orchestration is modernized. The light piano touches, mellowed rhythm section suits the track perfectly. The Yuvan’s typical string section makes its appearance in the interludes with ease.
Gulabi Kallu Rendu Mullu is a contrasting modern track sung by the talented Javed Ali with masterful ease. The Hip-Hop styled rhythm section and House Mix presentation is done quite well. Surprisingly, the Telugu nativity isn’t lost despite the modernization in music. Javed Ali does a great job in diction department as well.
It is time for a female solo Ra Rakumara sung by the brilliantly skillful Chinmayee and penned by legendary lyricist Sirivennela Sitaramasastry- who shares a special bonding with director Krishna Vamshi. After a long time, a composition in Carnatic Raaga Dharmavathi has been done by Yuvan Shankar Raja- the popular other composition being Kalalu Kane Kaalalu- 7/G Brundavana Colony. Yuvan proves that he takes a front seat in melody with this composition.
In contrast to the previous track, Prathi Chote Nake Swagatham is a fun filled track suiting the typical hero introduction image. The contemporary touches with rap, energetic vocals and rhythm section do their job perfectly. The guitar riffs and electronic sequencing is done quite well.
Bavagari Choope is a celebration song with catchy rhythm section, and it is a long while Telugu Albums had a conversational styled track with entertainment value. The family atmosphere has been shown musically by Yuvan with ease. Out of the vocalists, it is veteran singer Yesudas’s son Vijay Yesudas who takes the front seat.
The album arrives to a finale with Kokkokodi , a folksy track with great funkiness in terms of rhythm section. The usage of ghatam and desi beats is done quite well. Karthik does a wonderful job in making it extremely catchy and foot tapping track.
Verdict:
Govindudu Andari Vadele is a brilliant album from Yuvan Shankar Raja. This talented music director delivers the right goods for Krishna Vamshi’s family entertainer and lives up to the commercial as well as musical expectations!
