Any star kid debut has more calculations than content, sentiments than subject and finally expectations than investment!
Even Mega hero Varu Tej’s debut is no exception to this. The only difference is that instead of going for an expert in commercial films, Varun has chosen a family entertainer specialist like Sreekanth Addala. Along with the nature of the director, title is the next crucial aspect of the film. Even Ram Charan and Sai Dharam Tej had mass titles like Chirutha and Rey for their respective debut films.
Given a director like Sreekanth Addala, you can’t expect commercial titles like Chirutha, Simha, Puli etc. Naturally, it ought to be a classy and family title – so Gollabhama was the initial choice. This was the title which was popular right from the Day 1. But there arose a concern about the title as Gollabhama sounded too classy and lacked the punch required for a crowd puller. Upon repeated requests and suggestions from the fans, the makers have assured to come up with a suitable powerful and attractive title.
However, after a long wait, the makers have somehow decided to go with a classy title again and confirmed Mukunda as the title recently (on 17th of August). Well, whatsoever be the fuss around the title, the director has finally left his mark with yet another class title that is appealing to the ‘A’ and family audience. Well, Telugu audiences have always supported a good film irrespective of the nature of the title. Hope and wish Mukunda gets such a good response and will be a memorable start for Varun Tej.
The first look of the film is expected to be unveiled on the 22nd of August on the eve of Megastar’s birthday. Pooja Hegde will be paired opposite to Varun Tej. Mickey J Meyer will be scoring music for the film which is produced by noted producers ‘Tagore’ Madhu and Nallamalapu Bujji.
