Slowly but steadily Hyderabad is growing to be the hub for arts and offbeat cinema. As part of that, a conceptual short film festival is going to be held in the capital city. This is a joint venture by the ‘Save Temples’ organization and Global Hindu Heritage Foundation. Both are NRI organizations.
Reports say they are organizing the short film festival and the concepts are Sanathana Dharma and Hindu Temples. The fest will have its screening from August 1st to 3rd and on 3rd awards will be given to the chosen winners. A Central Minister is expected to come and give away these awards.
This is a national level contest and each film must be between 6 minutes-15 minutes duration. Also, every short film should have english subtitle compulsory. The first prize winner will get cash award along with a golden Gomatha. The second prize contains cash and silver Gomatha while the third will have cash with bronze Gomatha. Needless to say it is more like Nandi awards style and also since Gomatha has a special significance in Sanathana Dharma. The other details will be announced soon in a press meet in a couple of days.
