Manam is a prestigious Akkineni multi-starrer featuring late ANR, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Chaitanya Akkineni, Samantha, Shriya Saran in the lead. This family entertainer is directed by ‘Ishq’ fame Vikram K Kumar and the music is composed by young music sensation Anup Roobens. Here is an exclusive audio review of the album:
The album begins with a groovy melody Kanulanu Thaake sung at his personal best by Arjit Singh. The melody is laid back and feels good with good piano touches. Usage of melodious violin in the second interlude works well. However it has the repetitive Anup Rubens style of orchestration.
The melody mood continues with Chinni Chinni Aasalu sung well by the vocalists. The interludes have good touch of melody yet sound modern as well. But the over digitization of voices could have been avoided.
Manam (Theme) has a good blend of Spanish rumba guitar with recurring humming and the overall composition creates a soft and soothing impact on the listener.
The breeziness is back with another laid back melody Kani Pinchina with a different yet innocent female vocals and interesting rhythm. The track features some good lyrics which leave a pleasant impact on the listener.
The much awaited party track Piyo Re arrives which already created much buzz on the net. It has an impressive remixed version of ANR's hit song Nenu Puttanu with digitized vocals. The party rhythm is catchy and is absolute fun to hum and dance.
The album concludes with a different and mellowed version of Kani Pinchina. The vocals add value to the track. The orchestration however remains the same as the original.
Verdict:
Manam audio is a fairly decent album from Anup Rubens with feel good melodies and interesting mix of pep. However the album lacks a striking commercial punch needed for a big summer commercial multi starrer that might disappoint a section of audience.
